Advocacy in Action - New Appointments

The Committee for Perth is pleased to announce the appointment of two new staff members, Research Officer Alice Leggett and Graduate Researcher Hayley Campbell. Alice joins the Committee as Research Officer, replacing long-term staff member Georgia Harford-Mills. Alice is responsible for coordinating the projects and their Steering Committees, as well as managing and implementing the Committee’s Reconciliation Action Plan while also undertaking research for FACTBase. With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Anthropology & Sociology and a Master of Research from The University of Western Australia, Alice brings new research capability to the Committee.

“I am excited to be able to use my anthropological background to approach research from a humanistic perspective and engage with a broad spectrum of human experiences. I look forward to working with our groups and applying what I know to our projects on a more practical level,” said Alice.

Hayley Campbell joins the Committee for Perth as a Graduate Researcher, working three days a week whilst completing her Masters in Urban Design at The University of Western Australia. Hayley is responsible for researching and writing the FACTSheet reports, as well as coordinating the Committee’s Working Groups.

“Joining the Committee for Perth is an exciting opportunity as it allows me to put my skills and knowledge into practice from my bachelor’s degree in human geography and planning, as well as gaining industry insights for my master’s degree,” explains Hayley.
