Perth as a circular economy

Our next New Horizons webinar provides the opportunity to hear from Huia Adkins, Technical Director from GHD about Perth as a circular economy city.

Did you know that 91% of the raw materials used globally are disposed of after a single use? Imagine a world where these valuable resources are circulated in the economy indefinitely by design rather than losing resource value to landfill or incineration.

Work undertaken by global leaders in circular economy, such as The Ellen McArthur Foundation, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the European Union has shown that transitioning to a circular economy is fundamental to reducing global greenhouse gas emissions. The urgency to meet net-zero is driving a collaborative approach to innovation amongst industry. In this presentation Huia will explore global trends that are shifting our cities and communities towards a circular economy mindset and the opportunity Perth has now to become a circular economy city.

Join our webinar as our presenters share their insights and answer your questions during the Q&A session.
