The Committee for Perth is pleased to invite you to the official release of its ground-breaking, Filling the Pool report.

Filling the Pool is a two year, research project that examines the issue of gender inequality, one of the most significant economic and social issues of the 21st century. By specifically focusing on Western Australia, we have uncovered complex business, personal and cultural factors which exacerbate the largest gender pay gap in the country and the least number of women in executive and board roles.

The findings of Filling the Pool are based on interviews with 173 local chairs, board members, CEOs, female executives and managers, executive recruiters and HR personnel, recent female graduates and women who opted out of the workforce. The result is a comprehensive roadmap of solutions with four recommendations for government, 18 recommendations for organisations and their leaders and nine recommendations for women.

This event is for business leaders who want to unlock the underutilised, talent pool of females in this state, while working to enhance the economic output of Western Australia.

Lunch Learnings

On Wednesday at our Perth In Focus luncheon, we launched our gender equity report, Filling the Pool, which makes 31 interlocking recommendations and provides a road map for change with government, businesses and their leaders and women all having a role to play.

The report and its recommendations have received great support and ignited some valuable conversation.

With a full house of 500 people, a number of you missed out on attending and many of you have requested a copy of the slides, so below you will find links to the presentation & audio, the media release and the full report.
