Research

The Committee for Perth aims to lead debate, advise and be a catalyst for change in all areas affecting the development of Perth.  We are committed to putting our attention into finding solutions rather than focusing on problems, and research plays a critical part in developing informed and relevant solutions.

Annually we invested nearly a third of our total operating budget into research which is what allows us to take a fact based approach when developing our positions on critical issues for Perth.

In addition to long-term research projects such as FACTBase and The Western Edge, we also commission regular independent research projects on specific issues.  These projects are included below while publications from the ongoing FACTBase and The Western Edge projects can be viewed on their respective pages.

What We Thought Would Kill Us - The Bell Tower, October 2011

What We Thought Would Kill Us - The Evolution of Perth's Passenger Rail, June 11

What We Thought Would Kill Us - Hillary's Boat Harbour, March 11
