Marion Fulker

CEO

Marion is the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the Committee for Perth Ltd and joined the organisation in January 2007.

Before joining the Committee, Marion was the Executive Director of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) WA Division. It was in this role that she became a keen observer of planning, development and city making.

Marion has a range of skills including advocacy, business development and marketing gained through management roles in the property, information technology and telecommunications sectors in both Perth and Sydney.

As CEO of the Committee for Perth Marion is a member of all of the Board Sub-Committees and is active in each of the working groups. She represents the organisation on the Indigenous Place Reference Group for the Minister for Planning, the Legal & Governance Working Group for the Minister for Local Government, the Capital City Planning Framework Advisory Group for the Department of Planning, Swan Canning Iconic River Trails project for the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council, the Perth Airport Advisory Board and the Lord Mayor’s Affordable Housing Working Group.  Marion is mentor to managers in the public service and business community and participates as an independent member of recruitment panels.  

Marion is the current Chair of the Heritage Council of Western Australia and through this a member of the Central Perth Planning Committee.  She is also a member of the Perth Airport Advisory Board and the Lord Mayor’s Affordable Housing Working Group.  She is a mentor to managers in the public service and business community and participates as an independent member of recruitment panels.

Holly DeVaney

Holly DeVaney

Manager, Research and Communications

Holly joins the Committee for Perth to help achieve our strategic goals.  She will work closely with the CEO and the Reforming, Reshaping and Revitalising working groups to offer research and administration support as well as directly with our members to enhance our member services and assist with our events.  Holly will also work to increase the recognition and visibility of the organisation through internal and external communications. 

Holly has a strong background in communication and implementation of strategic initiatives and most recently has been working with Curtin University of Technology in a variety of roles including Manager, Government Relations; Manager, Internal Communications; and Executive officer to the Vice Chancellor. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Western Australia, with a double major in Political Science and History.  

We are confident that Holly's work will increase our influence and effectiveness through implementation of high impact initiatives that add significant value to the liveability of Perth.  

Beverley Shelbourne  

Executive Assistant

Beverley offers the Committee for Perth real strength in administration, marketing and office management.  Her career has developed through Administration management into a number of prestigious executive assistant roles through industries as disparate as Marine and Superannuation. 

Schooled in the UK, Beverley has spent most of her adult life in Western Australia.  Currently living in the centre of the CBD, Beverley is well aware of the city lifestyle options available in Perth and is committed to the values and objectives of the Committee for Perth.
