The Committee for Perth currently has a Board of ten Directors and a company secretary. Under the new structure to be introduced later in 2009, there will be nine Directors and a company secretary. Members will elect seven Directors from within the membership and those elected Directors have the ability to co-opt two non-member Directors. Each appointment runs for a period of three years for a maximum of two continuous election cycles. A third term is allowable with 75% of the voting membership in support of the additional term.
Our current board members represent a broad cross section of industry including Oil and Gas, Banking, Hospitality and Tourism and Education and bring to us a wealth of experience. The specialised knowledge represented by our Directors includes law, commerce, business strategy, government relations, hospitality, not for profit management, accountancy and higher education.
